The National Parkinson Foundation Arizona Chapter is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by Parkinson’s disease through programs, education, advocacy and research.

Meet Our Chair

Meet John Baumann, Chair of Moving Day® Phoenix. John was diagnosed with PD 12 years ago at age 41. John, a former executive officer and corporate attorney, and his wife are committed to sharing inspiration for living an amazing life “Parkinson’s Proud” and wrote about the experience, “Decide Success: You Ain’t Dead Yet.” They motivate and inspire patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, organizations and businesses across the USA and internationally. Join us for Moving Day!

Moving Day® is the National Parkinson Foundation’s annual fundraising walk event. It is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement will feature a family friendly walk course, a kids area, a caregivers relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD.

It is ‘A day to move, a day to move others, a day that moves YOU!’
